Emoji reactions, AI assistants over MCP, and term editing

React to cards with emoji, connect Claude or Cursor to RecapBoard, and edit and merge terms in the library.

Emoji reactions on cards

Once cards are revealed, anyone on the board can react to a card with an emoji, one reaction per person per emoji.

How to use it
  1. 1Hover a revealed card and click “React with an emoji” in its footer.
  2. 2Pick an emoji from the picker.
  3. 3Click an existing reaction chip to add yours or take it back, or “Add reaction” beside the chips to pick another emoji.

Connect AI assistants over MCP

Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor can read your boards, stacks, action items, and pulse trends, and add cards, through a remote MCP server you authorize with your account.

How to use it
  1. 1In account settings, open “Connected AI assistants” and click “How to connect”.
  2. 2Pick “Claude Code”, “Claude.ai & desktop”, or “Cursor” and follow the steps for that app.
  3. 3Approve the connection on the RecapBoard consent screen by clicking “Allow”.
  4. 4Come back to “Connected AI assistants” any time to click “Revoke” and disconnect an app.

Edit and merge terms in the library

Terms in the mention library can be renamed, recategorized, described, and merged into one another, and a new member who matches a manually created term adopts it on join.

How to use it
  1. 1Open board settings and go to “Term library”.
  2. 2Click “Edit term” on a row, make your changes, and click “Save changes”.
  3. 3To fold a duplicate into another term, use “Merge into another term” in the same dialog and confirm with “Merge terms”.
