Board types and the Reviewing phase
Choose between a Structured Retro and a Standard board when you create it, and meet the renamed Reviewing phase.
Choose a board type
Every new board is either a Structured Retro that moves through writing, reveal, and review, or a Standard board with no phases at all.

- 1On the dashboard, click “New board” (or “New retro” on a stack page).
- 2Under “Board type”, pick “Structured Retro” for phases or “Standard” for a free-form board.
- 3Finish the setup and click “Create retro” or “Create board”.
Create a board →“Discussing” is now “Reviewing”
The second phase of a retro is called Reviewing everywhere, and cards added during the review stay first-class.
How to use it
- 1The phase pill, wizard, and settings all say “Reviewing” instead of “Discussing”.
- 2Open the command palette and run “Start review phase” to reveal cards and begin the review.
