An organization is a shared home for your team’s retros — creating one is tied to your verified work email domain, joining is always invite-and-accept, and every retro or stack you include in it opens for all of your org-mates without adding them one by one.
How to use it
1On the dashboard, open the workspace switcher and pick “Create organization” — it’s tied to your work email domain, and the switcher then flips between “Personal” and each organization you belong to, each with its own boards and stacks.
2Invite anyone by email with “Invite people” in your organization’s settings — addresses outside your domain are flagged before you send, nobody is added without accepting, and your sent invites stay listed as pending until they’re accepted or expire.
3Move a retro or stack in with “Transfer to organization” in its settings — every org-mate can open it from then on, and the transfer is deliberately one-way so a shared history can’t be pulled back into a personal workspace.
4Once a retro or stack is in your organization, type @ on a card to mention any org-mate or pick them as an action-item owner — no setup per person, and the full roster is listed under “People” in the settings’ “Term library”, searchable and paged for large teams.
Adding someone by email now sends an invitation they act on in RecapBoard — nobody lands on a board, stack, or organization until they’ve seen what they were invited to and accepted it themselves.
How to use it
1Everything waiting for you is behind the bell in the header — each invitation names who sent it and what it’s for, so you decide with “Accept” (or “Accept & join” for an organization) before anything is shared.
2Not interested? “Decline” quietly removes it — and the attached ▾ menu goes further with “Decline & block this org”, so a sender or a whole organization can’t reach you again.
3Senders only ever see that an invitation is pending — never whether an address has an account, opted out, or blocked them — so an invitation can’t be used to probe who’s on RecapBoard; a declined invitation simply drops off their sent list.
4“Receive invitations from outside your organizations” is on under settings “Invitations” — turn it off to go quiet beyond your org-mates, and review or undo your blocked senders and organizations in the same place.
